Year 2: Primary school classroom extension
Live project commissioned by a CofE Primary School to create concept designs for a new reception classroom. The brief asked for an outdoor covered play area and an activity space which could also double as an out of hours community venue. These presentation drawings predominantly use digital media with a few hand drawn elements. The main programs are AutoCad, Photoshop and SketchUp.
The existing school building was a Victorian brick construction with high pitched roves. Mainly spread over the ground floor. On the west side of the site there is an external classroom.
The proposed design utilizes SIP construction with a timber frame roof, covered outdoor space and break-off room for meetings or storage.
